Painting Alive is a personal project born just for fun-and-train, updating over time.
I’ve brought historical paintings to life, experimenting with generative function of new Photoshop. The initial set-up phase is followed by moving into After Effects for animation of the various pieces.

Starting with an experiment featuring Medusa, by Caravaggio.
It’s a blend of macabre and ironic, carrying a powerful metaphorical meaning: “prudence acquired through wisdom.”

The artist portrays herself in the painting while playing a lute.
In the pictorial symbolism of artists who echoed Caravaggio, a woman intent on playing a musical instrument alluded to pleasures of a sexual nature.
